How to Make your Strategic Vision Successful to Scale your Business
Fact: There is no one-size-fits-all solution, but there is a proven formula to scale your business that I have been practicing and refining over the past 30 years. To make the big shift from entrepreneur to 7-figure enterprise, you need a roadmap. And, this is why I developed my S.C.A.L.E. Formula® that I have used to build many of my companies and in coaching thousands of business owners.
Hi, it’s Allison. I am a 10-time entrepreneur, and I want to give you the roadmap to S.C.A.L.E. There comes a point, where you need to move beyond what came first – the earlier reasons that drove growth and success in your business. To reach your pinnacle and elevate toward 7-figure enterprise success, you need to learn to scale. Scaling basically means replicating your impact and talents beyond yourself, so that you can reach a much larger market and expand your revenue. Let’s start at the beginning, and the road starts with learning how to make your strategic vision successful.
The 5 Elements of my S.C.A.L.E Formula® are: 1. Strategic Vision 2. Cash flow 3. Alliance of your team 4. Leadership and 5. Executing Your Plan. In this post, I cover part 1, creating your Strategic Vision, or what I call, Your Big Picture Vision.
Strategy Meets Vision
Success is where present meets future, goals meet action, and strategy meets vision. You are an entrepreneur who is looking to scale, a change maker who is searching for a breakthrough. To reach your pinnacle and blast off to 7-figure enterprise success, you need to scale your business. What’s the next step? The answer is in how to make your strategic vision successful. It’s that simple.
Strategy: the art of planning, acting and achieving as a leader.
Vision: the foresight to align workflow with achieving goals under uncertain conditions.
Assume the role of a leader. It takes action and foresight to reach the finish line. Get on the onramp! Learning how to make your strategic vision successful is the next step. My roadmap will take you there, but first there are 7 things to consider when implementing a strategic vision.
7 Tips: How to Create your Strategic Vision
The S.C.A.L.E. Formula® – Step #1: Put the right strategic vision in place. Just like the thousands of entrepreneurs that I have worked with, you need to know how to make your strategic vision successful. A strategic vision is nothing without a formula for success. Here are 7 things to consider when implementing your Big Picture Vision.
- Stay Grounded.
As a leading entrepreneur, passion and ambition go hand-in-hand. But, to successfully launch from entrepreneur to 7-figure enterprise, means putting the right strategic vision in place that pushes the limits while keeping you grounded. With that in mind, then it only makes sense that in order to make your strategic vision successful, you have to ensure the outcome is both achievable and reasonable.
When implementing a strategic vision, it is more than just about you. It is also about your stakeholders – executive team, employees, clients and shareholders. Even more important than staying realistic with your strategic vision for yourself, is making sure that the experience you are trying to create is possible for those that it effects most. If you are wondering how to make your strategic vision successful, start with making it mean something significant to everyone involved. Remember to stay grounded!
- Consider all of the Options.
Yes, there is a roadmap to scale and my S.C.A.L.E. formula will get you there. But, before you blastoff to making the big shift from entrepreneur to 7-figure enterprise, you need to consider all of the paths that will you there. Learning how to make your strategic vision successful requires you to consider all of the options when putting the right strategic vision in place.
As soon as you identify the goal, the path must be clear and the strategic vision must be outlined. And, not just for you but for the stakeholders that it effects most. They are sponsors to your strategic vision. Closing the gap between present and future, goals and action, and strategy and vision is essential. The Answer: Include your stakeholders in regularly scheduled meetings of the mind to consider all of the options to reach the desired outcome.
- Be in Alignment.
The 3rd thing to consider when implementing a strategic vision is alignment. And, this will require you to get personal. It starts at the top (with you), and it flows all the way to the bottom (down to the individual).
When considering how to make your strategic vision successful, it is not just about closing the gap between your strategic vision and the desired outcome. That is big picture thinking, which is perfect for making a big shift. And, it has its place in the S.C.A.L.E formula. However, in order to succeed in making that shift you have to break it down further.
The process requires you to bring your personal goals and business goals, the goals for your team and the goals of the group into alignment. It is part of a domino effect that trickles down from top to bottom, and paints the bigger picture. Review progress through the lens of “when we get there _____.” Fill in the blank. Are you in alignment now with the goals for later?
- No Suprises
Be transparent, and set expectation. That way there are no surprises. In order to put the right strategic vision in place, you have to set everyone involved up for success. How do you make your strategic vision successful, and set everyone up for success? Communicate.
If there are no surprises, each person understands how their performance and production effects the bottom line. All the stakeholders should know how to measure their performance and get back on track as needed. The 4th thing to consider when implementing a strategic vision is how to ensure there is no guessing game involved.
- Win Over the Sponsors.
When you’re going on a family vacation, what makes for a successful trip? Everyone has to “buy in.” The same goes for a team and your business. If you are wondering how to make your strategic vision successful, then consider this. Are you engaging everyone in the process, and do they take partnership in the outcome? If they have part to play and a stake in the game, then you are paving the road to success.
- Have Checkpoints.
Contrary to popular belief putting the right strategic vision in place is not a private matter. There are many things to consider when implementing a strategic vision. But, on the road to scaling your business is the most important time to publicize programs and update on progress.
There are necessary checkpoints in my S.C.A.L.E. formula. Take note of when important challenges and changes are happening. Knowing how to make your strategic vision successful means taking advantage of opportunities to share. You will be glad you did!
- Adapt and Overcome.
Celebrate the wins, learn from the losses, and move on smarter than before. It sounds familiar and easy enough as an entrepreneur, but actually doing it (and in the name of putting the right strategic vision in place) is a different story. If you succeed, to adapt and overcome is the key to making the big shift to 7-figure enterprise.
Learning how to make your strategic vision successful is the launching point for how to S.C.A.L.E to the next level. And, in business and in life, we have a tendency to move on too quickly. The last, and most critical, thing to consider when implement a strategic vision is when to hit pause.
Gather the troops as the troop leader, and reconsider both your decision-making and action in light of the big picture. What went wrong? And, what would you do differently in the future? A successful strategic vision is a carefully crafted. The roadmap to get there is just as important. Happy planning!
