Her journey began in the dental industry, where she built and scaled her own successful practice in Canada. Today, she continues to use her deep knowledge of the medical and dental fields to help practitioners expand their reach, optimize operations, and build scalable, revenue-generating practices.
With deep roots in a nearly 80-year-old family legacy business, Karen has built her own success across retail, e-commerce, distribution, wholesale, and manufacturing. She’s also guided thousands of others to do the same. Alongside her husband Neil, Karen has personally developed and private labeled 879 products sold in over 600 retail stores—including Walmart, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby. Their business scaled internationally through strategic partnerships and teams across Asia, Europe, Canada, and the U.S.
Karen understands the deeper dynamics of working with family—spouses, siblings, and parents—and brings a rare level of empathy and insight when advising family-run businesses through growth, conflict, and decision-making.
Through her company, Private Label University, Karen has spent over two decades mentoring manufacturers, inventors, and both brick-and-mortar and online retailers. She specializes in global sourcing, international manufacturing relationships, importing, compliance, and logistics—with a strong emphasis on relationship-building at every stage.
Her true superpower lies in brand development and crafting creative, innovative revenue streams. She has helped businesses identify and implement scalable strategies, unique pricing models, and standout customer journeys.
